Mr. Aderemi Makanjuola
Mr Aderemi Makanjuola was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on November 24th, 1948, and hails from Lagos Island Local Government Area of the state. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Leicester and a master’s degree in Manpower Planning from the University of Manchester, both in the United Kingdom. Mr. Makanjuola is the Chairman Board of Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc. He possesses over two decades of progressive Banking and Finance experience. He served as the Executive Vice-Chairman of Devcom Merchant before the formation of Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc.
Mr. Makanjuola also served as the Chairman of FBN Bank Senegal from 2014 until 2020. In 2007, the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, appointed MR Aderemi Makanjuola as Chairman of the then newly established Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSTTF) in response to the challenges of security and to the realization that the vast demands of security can no longer be met by government alone. He held this position until 2015. He is the Chancellor of EDO STATE UNIVERSITY, UZAIRUE, appointed in 2019. Mr. Makanjuola is a silent achiever, an accomplished businessman, and a philanthropist who has been of tremendous help to several less privileged individuals, especially in Education. He has demonstrated his commitment to ensuring that all people— especially those with the fewest resources, have access to the opportunities they need to succeed by donating 500-seater lecture theatres to 3 universities in Nigeria – FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY MINNA, SUMMIT UNIVERSITY OFFA, and LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY (LASU) and also donated State-of-the-Art Molecular Biology Diagnostic Laboratories to LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF MEDICINE (LASUCOM) and EDO STATE UNIVERSITY, UZAIRUE. In October 2022, he was conferred with National Honours in the rank OF OON (OFFICER OF THE ORDER OF THE NIGER) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
