The Byte Busters Coding Club at Government College Ibadan (GCI) successfully concluded its two-week Summer Bootcamp, which was aimed at accelerating students’ learning in coding and technology. The boot camp is a continuation of the learning activities of the coding club.

The ceremony included goodwill messages from esteemed dignitaries, a special video presentation highlighting the project's progress, awards for outstanding students, and the distribution of participation certificates to all ‘Byte Busters’, acknowledging their dedication and effort during the boot camp. 

In his welcome address, Mr. S.O. Oladokun, the Principal of GCI, highlighted the significance of the boot camp in equipping students with essential coding skills that will help shape their future. The Group Head of Human Resources, Odu’a Investment Company Limited (OICL), also delivered an inspiring goodwill message, encouraging the Byte Busters to continue their journey in tech innovation. 

In his goodwill message, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Oyo State, Prof. Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu, praised the students for their dedication and reaffirmed the government's commitment to promoting digital literacy among the youth. He also applauded the efforts of Odu’a Investment Foundation, the charitable arm of OICL, for its dedication to advancing digital inclusion for the youth of the Southwest. 

The joy on the faces of the participants' parents was immeasurable as they celebrated the accomplishments of the young tech enthusiasts. Regular coding sessions, covering additional programming languages, will resume in GCI and across the Southwest in the coming weeks. 

The Byte Busters initiative plays a pivotal role in preparing students for the tech-driven future, and this year's Summer Bootcamp marks another milestone in the journey to empower the next generation of innovators.
