As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting digital literacy among the youth in Southwest Nigeria, Odu’a Investment Foundation has launched the Byte Busters Coding Club in Ekiti State. This initiative is designed to equip students in public secondary schools with essential programming and coding skills, fostering a generation of innovators who will lead the region's digital transformation.

The Byte Busters Coding Club envisions a future where every child in Southwest Nigeria becomes a proficient coder, capable of creating innovative solutions and contributing to the global tech ecosystem. Our mission is to cultivate ethical tech leaders who harness their skills to drive positive change, encourage creativity, and advance the digital revolution.

Following extensive consultations with key education stakeholders in Ekiti State, including the Honorable Commissioner, Dr. (Mrs.) K. O. O. Aderiye, and her esteemed team of Directors and Principal Officers, the Byte Busters Coding Club has officially kicked off at two pilot centers in the state.

Students from Aramoko District Commercial Secondary School and Ijanmodu Comprehensive College were selected to participate after a public expression of interest conducted by the Project Team. With nearly 400 students expressing interest in joining, 250 promising students will be enrolled in the pilot phase, embarking on an exciting journey into the world of coding and technology.

We are excited for the learning journey to begin in these centers and are optimistic about the positive impact this project will have on these young learners. By igniting a passion for technology, we aim to inspire future tech leaders and innovators in Ekiti State and beyond.
